Setup
Do I need a Jellyfin server?
Yes. JellyKids is a client app that connects to your own Jellyfin server.
How do I connect to my server?
In onboarding, enter your Jellyfin server URL and complete sign in with your account credentials.
Permissions and Data
Why is Local Network permission needed?
Server discovery can scan your LAN and local service announcements to detect nearby Jellyfin servers. Without Local Network permission, auto-discovery may not work.
Does JellyKids back up settings to iCloud?
JellyKids can sync supported setup and profile data to your private iCloud (CloudKit) when enabled.
Pro Mode and Family Controls
What is included in Pro mode?
Pro mode adds features such as profile management, parent panel analytics, additional themes, and multi-device license support.
How do parental restrictions work?
Parents can configure pin-gated controls, profile restrictions, and content filters. Adult mode and profile access depend on current app settings.
